| Walter “Skeets” Shields | Walter Conrad "Skeets" Shields was born in Moorestown in 1939. He married Marilyn McIntosh of Riverton in 1976. They moved to Delanco and raised two children. Walter served in the US Air Force, presumably during the Vietnam War, though this is not confirmed. He went by the nickname Skeeter or Skeets. Walter was a retired welder of over forty years for Bridge Machine, Sherman Car Wash, Campbell Soup Equipment Center and Allentown Caging. He died July 27, 2007 at home at the age of 68.
